August Provided First Aid and Medical facility at Northampton Balloon Festival (275,000 attendance) in conjunction with Two Shires
Ambulance NHS Trust.
October Provided First Aid facility at Northampton Street Fair (attendance 70,000).
2001
April Silver Jubilee Reunion with over 100 past and present team members and the launch of the Silver Jubilee Appeal for new vehicles.
April The formation of a backup team formed from Scout Leaders in the county to assist on major duties and emergency incidents.
July Provided Medical and First Aid facility at the Northamptonshire Nailer International Camp. The team dealt with nearly 200 visits to
the medical centre over the week long camp for the 3000 people in camp.
September Stand-by - The Team ws put on stand-by by the Police to search for a missing young person, who was fortunately found before the
Team were involved. 15 members were able to attend within half an hour.
2002
April New Scout Movement Programme Launch.
June New Website Launched! - http://neat.ukscouts.net, Summer Ball raised £800 for Jubilee Appeal, The Rotary Club of Northampton Golf Day sponsored by the Chronicle & Echo newspaper last thursday raised £2,600 for our Jubliee Appeal. NEAT is most grateful to the Rotary Club of Northampton, especially Stan Evans for all his work in organising the day, and to the Chronicle & Echo for sponsoring the event.
August Many thanks to the magnificent effort of many County Leaders fundraising at the Northampton Balloon Festival, rasing £814 towards the new vehicle!
November Ambulance Appeal The Appeal fund was boosted this week by the Team being chosen as the Charity for the Northamptonshire Business Awards evening sponsored by Northamptonshire. The team have produced an A4 information sheet, which has been professionally printed for the Appeal. The Fund now stands at £16,600, which is nearly halfway, if we could find one more large sponsor we would be able to place an order at the end of the year.
