Aims and Purpose
The aim of Northampton Emergency Aid Team is to provide First Aid and Emergency Transport for Scouting and Public Events, and to support the East Midlands Ambulance Service (Formely Two Shires Ambulance NHS Trust), Northamptonshire Police with trained personnel in the event of a major incident.
Objective
To have trained members of Northamptonshire Scouts who are willing to be members of a team of young people and adults with a view to fulfil the
purpose of the Northampton Emergency Aid Team.
Method
Through a rolling training programme, members are equipped to provide a service, which is managed by a Team Manager and a management team which is
wholly made up of members of the team. NEAT is a part of the Northampton District Scout Council (Charity No. 1110610).
Membership
Membership is open to members of the Explorer Scout Section (14-18 years) and of the Scout Network (18-25) of Northamptonshire Scouts and to any
adult member of Northamptonshire Scouts, who has a specific skill or attribute which will enhance the professionalism of the team.
